What is a temperament screening?
It's an introduction where our team meets your dog and watches how they interact with people and other dogs. It helps us place your pup in the right play group and keeps daycare safe and fun for everyone. New daycare and boarding guests complete one before their first visit. Some dogs settle in quickly, while others need a little more time, so screening may take a series of visits over several days. We'll let you know what your pup needs.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all services are by appointment, and you can book any time through the client portal. The one exception is daycare: once your dog has been screened and approved, you're welcome to drop off without an appointment during daycare hours, Monday to Saturday 6:00 am to 6:30 pm and Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What vaccinations are required?
We ask for current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) and Bordetella records. You can upload them in the client portal when you sign up, and we'll review them before your first visit.
What is the client portal?
It's your online account with us. From the portal you can request reservations for boarding, daycare and grooming, see upcoming visits, update your pet's info and upload records, all from your phone or computer.
I've been a client for years. Do I need to sign up again?
No. Choose Set Up Your Portal in the booking section. It connects your existing account to a new login so your pets and history are already there.
What is The 35 Club?
It's our 35th anniversary celebration. Existing clients save 35% on one groom per month for a full year when it's booked on the same day as a daycare appointment. New clients get their first groom for $35 with a daycare day, once their dog completes temperament screening. And 35 golden tickets are hidden in grooming goodie bags, each worth a free week of daycare.
How does the Support Local Challenge work?
Buy anything from another locally owned business during the week of your appointment, then bring the item and the receipt with you. We'll take 10% off that day's service. The receipt needs to be dated within the current week, and it's one discount per visit.
How does mobile grooming work?
Our grooming van parks at your home and your dog is groomed right there, one on one, with heated water, a tub, a grooming table and everything our salon has. A few things to know before you book:
- Book early. Mobile appointments are booked at least 12 weeks out, so reserve well ahead of when you need them.
- We need to plug in. The van runs on electricity from your home, so we'll need access to a standard outdoor outlet or a spot where our cord can reach one.
- Check or credit card only. We don't accept cash for mobile grooming.
- Not every dog is a fit. Some dogs do better in our salon, for example very large breeds, dogs who are anxious in small spaces, or dogs who need two groomers. We'll talk it through when you book and point you to the best option for your pup.
- Service area. Mobile appointments are available within our local service area.
Can I watch my dog while they're with you?
Yes. We use iDogCam live cameras built into our client portal. While your dog is checked in, log in on your phone or computer and open the cameras tab. Viewing packages are available for both daycare and boarding and can be added when you book.
What should I bring for boarding?
A little planning makes check in quick and keeps your dog's routine on track:
- Food in individual meal size bags. Pack your dog's regular food portioned out, one bag per meal, so every feeding matches what they get at home.
- Medications in their original containers, with clear instructions.
- A blanket and a safe toy are welcome. No rawhides or similar chews, please.
- Leave the favorites at home. Items do occasionally go missing, so we recommend not bringing your dog's most treasured blanket or toy.
